How could one insignificant, angry little man cause such universal grief and anguish? More importantly, why would he?

“Assassins” tells the tales of those who have successfully and unsuccessfully attempted to assassinate the President of the United States. By exploring the dark side of the American experience and the inner motives of each Assassin, writers Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman take the audience on a grimly humorous and musical roller coaster ride through some of the most harrowing moments in our country’s history.
